Material Research Project

An investigative materials science project exploring the properties of seaweed. The research looked at how seaweed could be used as an alternative building material for its inherent water and fire resistant properties used in Denmark as insulation and roofing material. This research also explored the prospect of making adhesive derived from seaweed. The end product was a seaweed lantern, layered seaweed adhered to recycled fishing net.
